Welcome to The International Taiwanese Congress of Neurology (ITCN) 2017, Second Biennial Meeting website! We are pleased to continue hosting The Second International Taiwanese Congress of Neurology (Second ITCN) organized by Taiwan Neurological Society (TNS). The Congress will be held at the Taiwan International Congress Center (TICC) in Taipei from May 19 (Friday) to 21 (Saturday), 2017. It is a great honor for me to serve as the president of this prominent meeting.
TNS was established on March 6, 1977, by Professor Hung and Professor Shih. It aims to not only help physicians who specialize in neurological science but also contribute to bring about well-being for society by promoting an understanding of the mechanisms of neurological disease and the development of novel treatments.
Our three-day program is built on clinical and basic science content. We will cover the latest available research, therapies, and developments from internationally recognized leaders in the field. The main theme of The Second ITCN is "Early diagnosis, biomarkers, and treatment of neurological diseases." This will feature in 3 Plenary Sessions, which will highlight groundbreaking conceptual and therapeutic advances in a variety of neurological disease states, as well as 12 interactive Parallel Sessions designed to both support career development and provide educational opportunities in subspecialties. Participants will gather new scientific evidence and gain a new understanding that will improve the diagnosis and treatment of patients. We will invite more than thirty leading overseas experts each in the field of neurology and clinical neuroscience. Detailed information about the program will be posted on the website.
After the successful experience of The First ITCN in 2015, I firmly believe that the coming biennial international meeting in 2017 would continue to develop a platform for sharing updated information on the understanding and cure of neurological diseases with society members and to promote international exchange and cooperation.
We are planning an invigorating program, and we encourage you to attend all types of sessions to learn about the latest developments from our healthcare partners. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we invite you to join us in Taipei for a memorable and inspiring event. We really look forward to welcoming you to Taipei on May 19, 2017.
